We are still cooking - and Camping! The Our troop has found a new way to camp safely during the pandemic- VIRTUALLY!
The January campout was filled with fun:
On October 28, 2020, we helped a virtual open house Halloween Party. The scouts planned lots of fun activities and games for the guests:
And we talked about our annual plan for 2020-21, told some stories about our experiences in scouting and introduced the adult and youth leaders.
Hours of hard work to help a Scotts Valley resident clear downed trees and bundle the wood for a firewood fundraiser for the Troop!
On July 8th, we welcomed two new members to our troop! The bridging ceremony from Webelo to Boy Scout was held at Sky Park, and although modified to meet current social distancing requirements, it was a memorable event for all. We look forward to having you as part of our Scouting family - WELCOME New Scouts!
On this special day, we proudly honored the fallen service members of our country by participating in the annual Memorial Day celebration at Brookdale Senior Living in Scotts Valley. The Brookdale community is home to several US Military Veterans, to whom we give special thanks for serving our country. Thank You to all members of the US Military, past and present, from Troop 614 and 2614!
Even though we can't yet meet in person, our Scouts continue to earn Merit Badges on-line:

Learning about the history of Boy Scouts in America is an essential part of scouting.
Citizenship in the World
Through Zoom, we met with the First Kallista Boy Scout troop in Australia to learn about their customs, values and about scouting in their country. In turn, they worked on their badges by learning how scouting works in the United States (and what kids our age like to do!).
